Drafting Update

I wonder if now I’m sort of trying too hard… I have a few ideas to link stories together but it wasn’t originally my intention to make them so interconnected, so I’ll have to see if they feel too contrived once I start compiling the first drafts all together. Once I get through this draft, I’m going to start compiling everything and then I’ll have a pretty solid feel for what’s happening. So I just have to push through. I’ve written a few stories back to back that are from my girls’ POV and so it’s starting to feel like a novel, which is not what I wanted. I want the book to feel a little jarring and a little… jarring is the best word I think. I want it to shake you up. So I think these last two stories that I draft will be the last for a while where I’m using names at all. Because it feels excessive to me in this moment. Okay… This may sound like gibberish to you, I transcribed something that I was journaling for myself 🙃 xo
